Annie,

We are sorry to say that once deleted, a report is completely wiped out of the server and can not be recovered.

Thanks,

Is there any way to retrieve captured shots from the webcam? I had clicked the lock button on a couple of the shots I wanted to keep, but I ended up deleting them anyway. Ack! Is there anything that can be done?

Topic: General Discussions / Not Working

Eddy, Ben, Funintx,

Apologies. It was due to a server glitch happened yesterday while we were upgrading our server for the coming Android support. Definitely not normal. It is fixed now, and we will update our process by adding more tests before and after this kind of changes. Thank you for reporting the issue.

Funintx,

You can see the “Wakeup interval” and “Report interval” in your device page. The minimum report interval for free account is 120min.

Information on all service levers is at http://www.lockittight.com/services. You could go there by clicking on “pricing” on the menu.

Thanks,
LiT Admin

Topic: General Discussions / Not Working

Is this normal? I’m trying out this service as a free user and have been quite disappointed so far. It worked, or at least I thought it did – for a couple of hours yesterday and then quit. I cannot seem to find documentation on how often a location and/or report of keystrokes, screen captures occurs. Maybe I’m not looking in the right place.

I am also having the same problem. I have the option for settings and delete but nothing else. I have been unable to see anything since about 1600 GMT. Please fix soon.

Topic: General Discussions / Answer to Question About Uninstall Avoided by Admins?

Ab,

Sorry we missed your earlier post.

It’s true we are currently not protecting the software from being uninstalled. Adding password to the uninstaller may not be effective either, as one could re-install the system to go around the password.

Thanks,
LiT Admin

Topic: General Discussions / Answer to Question About Uninstall Avoided by Admins?

I posted a respectful question about a thief uninstalling the software about a week ago and there was no reply by the software developer. Am I to assume there is nothing to prevent uninstalling. A simple solution would be to require a password entry in the uninstall routine. A reply to this post would be appreciated.

Topic: General Discussions / I hate to seem cheap but?

LockItTight is actually a very general and powerful Computer Monitoring tools. Many paid customers use LockItTight to monitor their teenage kids to protect them from online hazard. We also have schools and libraries use our service for monitor and manage their computers. In this cases, it does not make sense to switch between free and paid services.

But for anyone who think free service satisfy their personal needs, we are happy to see it and actually encourage it. We feel great by knowing our service can help people in many ways.

Topic: General Discussions / Beta Tester

Hi Ben,

Thank you for taking time to review our service and your interest in the beta test. For Android, we’re wrapping up the framework and basic features including location and call logging. We’ll email you a copy of the current apk file that you can manually install on your Android devices.

But please treat it as Alpha since we have not released to out to any parties yet.

Thanks,
LiT Admin

Topic: General Discussions / Beta Tester

Hello,

I have been recently testing LiT and find it use full. i run a IT consulting group and have been testing out different monitoring programs. I find the feature pretty comparable to other programs.. The one that I find very interesting is the Android app that may be coming. http://www.lockittight.com/features

I would love the opportunity to test the Android version. I have different Android devices. I use an HTC EVO and ASUS Transformer Tablet.

Please let me know if I can help.

Ben

Eddy,

When the computer goes sleep, Windows pauses all software including LiT. Could you wake it up and see if it’ll report again?

Thanks,

Topic: All Reports Related Discussions / Can't see the key logs

K.Greene,

We are sorry for the problem.

And we are sorry we could not do anything to reset the reports. The reports are encrypted with string AES algorithm and can only be decrypted using the correct password. And we don’t have users’ passwords stored on the server. On the other hand, this might be a good news :) – that your encrypted reports are safe from anyone eve if they have access to the server.

From what you have reported, it’s possibility that there might be a problem with the encryption in our code. Since you are able to decrypt new reports, could we ask you to kindly leave encryption on and report back if this happens again? This would help us track down the problem and benefit all users.

If the old reports that could not be decrypted are in the way, you could delete them by clicking the “Delete All” link.

Thanks,
LiT Admin

Topic: General Discussions / I hate to seem cheap but?

Brock,

Thanks for the input. Well we can imagine such a usage pattern. So far this has not become a problem.

Most of our paid uses pay for the high quality screen shots and camera captures and more frequent reports for monitoring purposes.

If computer loss/theft is the concern, we recommend a paid service beforehand. Switching service after it’s found missing lowers the chance of getting it recovered. The reason is that the missing computer will not be able to switch the service level until it is connected back to the server. So between when it goes missing and when it gains Internet access, it would be collecting reports at the free service level – low frequency and low image resolution.

A computer protected by a paid service beforehand would be collecting reports at higher frequency and image size even while it’s offline, and sends all the reports to the server as soon as it gains Internet access.

Thanks,
LiT Admin
